Neil deGrasse Tyson, author and astrophysicist, discusses the racial biases propagated by the early scientific community. They claimed that Europeans were at the top of the evolutionary hierarchy, while Neanderthals, whom they considered less evolved, were likened to Black people and other races they deemed closer to the apes.
